This cultural emphasis on speed creates an environment where workers feel compelled to take shortcuts.

With diverse workforces that may include workers from different countries and regions, unclear construction instructions can lead to misunderstandings and errors. These communication gaps prevent workers from fully understanding safety procedures or reporting hazards to supervisors, ultimately increasing accident rates.

Workers facing economic uncertainty or concerned about job security may hesitate to report unsafe conditions or refuse dangerous work assignments. Fear of being labeled as troublemakers or being passed over for future opportunities can prevent workers from advocating for their own safety. This creates an environment where known hazards persist because no one feels empowered to address them.
