This process involves identifying suitable land, planning new settlements, and ensuring relocated families maintain access to employment opportunities and social networks. However, relocation must be culturally sensitive-there are numerous instances where hazard-resistant housing remained unoccupied because unfamiliar designs didn’t match local preferences or lifestyles.
